The authors introduce Semantic-Scope Projected Evolution (SSPE), a method to enable language agents to continually learn and adapt without overwriting previous skills. SSPE treats skill revisions as proposed updates, identifies potential interference with acquired capabilities, and constructs a compatible revision. This approach improves final cross-domain competence and mitigates forgetting in language agents.
